Active Ingredient

I scribed and printed a one color etching of a diagram of a paper airplane. The print was trimmed and handed to my eight-year-old son who proceeded to fold up the plane. We joyfully played in the park with it for 13 minutes. The plane was unfolded and mounted on board. This object now has a distinct look and feel and a sense of history.

I call this practice The Active Ingredient. It is an action that is measurable and can add new meaning and/or visual impact to art.
